The same species of fish may have different descriptive names depending on which part of the world you're in. For Latin and English fish names I use Fishbase and Dr. Burgess's Atlas of Marine Aquarium Fishes, 3rd Edition, as my primary sources. I've included the Latin name whenever possible as this name never changes. |

No-one would survive total exposure of it all but we've had some wonderful
encounters over the years that we would love to share. The movies are
either "best of trip in 5 mins" or extended highlights of a specific
encounter which should be evident from the title of the clip.

Species | This is not the
Tree of Life but merely a layman's introduction to classification of marine life. The tricky
part (for me anyway) is discussing local fishes with foreigners, so this
section includes a collection of fishes in Danish waters and their corresponding English
names. And as I go along I'll add to the list of Danish names for tropical
fishes and other marine life.
